- Study and understand the Spiral Pipe Manufacturing process and submerged arc welding process including tandem welding and troubleshooting of welding problems in the submerged arc welding process.
- Study and understand plasma arc cutting system and troubleshooting of problems of Plasma cutting machine.
- Learn gas cutting and manual electric arc welding techniques and good practices.
- Study and understand calculations of SP machine forming and adjustment data.
- Study and understand pipe forming process and effects/causes of pipe profile defects.
- Working and calculation of raw materials.
- Study and understand Oracle financial manufacturing module, quality plan, inventory module, supply chain module, etc.
- Prepare departmental daily/monthly reports.
- Work out the raw material requirements, machine hours, calculation of wastage, etc.
- Study and understand the working process/adjustments of end facing and hydro testing machine and its troubleshooting.
- Study pipe manufacturing and coating standards like API-5L, DIN30670.
- Study and learn the operation of spiral pipe mill and other manufacturing and testing equipment.
- Prepare purchase requisition for material required for the production department.
